Industrial and Organizational Psychology Professor
The Department of Psychology at the UNIVERSITY OF SOUTH FLORIDA invites applications for a 9- month appointment of a tenure track scholar in INDUSTRIAL/ORGANIZATIONAL Psychology, preferably at the Assistant Professor level, with service to begin as early as August 7, 2010. Applicants should show evidence of outstanding research and teaching. The successful applicant will be expected to establish an independent program of research that can garner extramural support, to supervise and mentor graduate students, to teach graduate and undergraduate classes, and to participate in departmental governance. Applicants must have the Ph.D. degree by the time of the appointment (August 7, 2010). The salary is negotiable. A review of the applications will begin on November 1, 2009. Applications received after November 1, 2009 may be reviewed and advanced, in cases of compelling merit, up to the conclusion of the search process.

The UNIVERSITY OF SOUTH FLORIDA invites applications for the position of Chair in the Department of Psychology with service to begin August 7, 2010, contingent on funding. The position is open to applicants with credentials commensurate with that of a Tenured Full Professor. Required: Ph.D. in Psychology or a related field; a record of significant research accomplishment; experience in writing and managing grants or contracts; a commitment to quality undergraduate and graduate education; the ability to provide strong academic leadership; previous administrative experience at a doctoral-level institution. Responsibilities: The ideal candidate is expected to provide leadership, vision, and serve as a facilitator for departmental research and scholarship and educational activities. In addition, the Chair is expected to be an advocate for the Department to College, University, and larger community and to work successfully with other disciplines associated with our programs. Any area of specialization within psychology is acceptable. Salary is competitive and commensurate with responsibility and experience.
