Total Credit Hours for BA in Psychology: 120 Hours
Major Requirements
- 34 hours in Psychology
- At least a 2.5 cumulative GPA for PSY 2012 (Intro to Psychology), PSY 3204 (Psychologyal Statatistcs or
equvilant) and PSY 3213 (Research Methods in Psychology).
- A major GPA (including all Psychology courses) of 2.0 or above
General Education Requirments
- 6 hours of English Composition (6A)
- 6 hours of Quantitative Methods (6A) (Statics course is required; we recommend PSY 3204)
- 6 hours of Natural Science (must have at least one biology (BSC) course)
- 6 hours of Historical Perspectives
- 6 hours of Social Sciences *3 hours will come from PSY 2012
- 3 hours of Fine Arts
- 3 Hours of African, Latin American, Middle Eastern or Asian (ALAMEA) Perspectives
Exit Requirements
*3 hours must be outside of the social sciences
- 6 hours of Major Works and Issues
- 3 hours of Literature and Writing (6A)
Foreign Language Requirement
- 8 hours of Foreign or Sign Language
Electives
- 33 hours of elective outside of Psychology
- 6 hours of elective either inside or outside psychology
